SEO ROI Calculator

Estimate the leads, customers, and revenue organic search can return on your SEO spend. Adjust the inputs to match your business — the numbers update instantly.

How this SEO ROI calculator works

The model chains five conversion steps: searches → clicks → leads → customers → revenue. Monthly clicks are your target keywords' search volume multiplied by the click-through rate you can expect at your target ranking. Those clicks convert to leads at your site's conversion rate, leads close into customers at your sales close rate, and each customer is worth your average customer value. ROI is (revenue − SEO spend) ÷ SEO spend.

Two honest caveats: SEO builds up over months rather than switching on instantly, and click-through rate falls sharply below position 3. Use conservative inputs — a positive ROI on conservative numbers is the signal worth acting on. For real keyword volumes and ranking difficulty in your niche, request a free audit and we'll replace these estimates with your actual data.

Use this calculator on your own site

Free to embed on any site, including a competitor's. Paste this where you want it to appear. The only condition is the credit line that comes with it.

The frame posts its height to the parent page (tgs-embed-height), so you can resize it to fit if you want to. Questions, or want it restyled to match your site? Ask us.

Frequently asked questions

How is SEO ROI calculated?

SEO ROI is (revenue generated from organic search minus SEO investment) divided by SEO investment, expressed as a percentage. This tool models it by chaining searches → clicks → leads → customers → revenue using your click-through rate, conversion rate, close rate and average customer value.

Is this SEO ROI calculator free?

Yes, it is completely free and runs instantly in your browser with no signup. Your inputs never leave your device.

How long before SEO shows ROI?

SEO usually takes months rather than weeks to move rankings, depending on competition and where your site starts. The calculator shows the monthly return once your target rankings are reached, so use conservative inputs for the early months.

What is a good SEO ROI?

It varies widely by market and starting point. Because organic clicks are unpaid, the return can grow as rankings improve, but that takes time. If the calculator shows a positive ROI on conservative inputs, SEO is worth a closer look for your business.
